In a recent development, it has been announced that Kamal Haasan’s production house, Raaj Kamal Films International, along with R Mahendran, will be bankrolling Silambarasan’s 48th film. 

The film, tentatively titled STR48, will be directed by Desingh Periyasamy, who previously directed the critically acclaimed Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal in 2020.

Silambarasan, who is also known as STR, shared a promotional clip on his official Twitter handle, confirming the project and expressing his excitement by saying, “Dreams do come true”. 

Details about the film’s plot and the rest of the cast and crew have not been announced yet, but this news has already created a buzz among the fans of both Silambarasan and Kamal Haasan. 

With the talented Desingh Periyasamy behind the camera and two iconic production houses backing the project, expectations are high for STR48.
